no, you have options still. you can take doxycycline, or a doxycycline & riampfin combo, or there is also IV vancomycin, and also Zyvox (linezolid)(but that costs something over $1000 for a 10 day course). avelox in combo with another antibiotic has also been proven to be effective.

i have had 5 occurrences in less than one year. i have two going on right now. stay with it.

Look for natural antibiotic alternatives for topicals to treat on skin too, such as Crushed Organic Garlic, 100% Tea Tree Oil, {product edited out}, you can mix with olive oil or coconut oils if you have sensitive skin.

Also, I suggest eating low alkaline foods, immune boosting foods, taking a good multi vitamin, a probiotic, and staying away from sugar and acid foods.

If you've seen an Infectious Disease doctor and they are not giving you the help you need, get a second opinion or consider seeing a homeopathic doctor for alternative medicine.

I personally am seeing good results *so far* with { } and cutting sugar out, probiotics, vitamins and low alkaline foods, i am not taking any doctor prescribed antibiotics topically or orally anymore, i've done that 4 times already and it just is a temporary fix in my opinion, seems to always come back for me, so now i use natural methods and hope i have continued success.

Don't give up!

Chinese Skullcap contains baicalein which is synergistic with doxycycline and other tetracycline-class antibiotics, restoring their activity against MRSA and other resistant infections. The baicalein blocks the TET efflux pump, which is the main mechanism of staph resistance to tetracycline derivatives, by pumping the antibiotic out of the bacteria before it can do its job. Baicalein also prevents ribosomal resistance, but by unknown mechanisms.
