I am so glad I found this site to make a long story short I have been battling fatigue, memory problems and a long list of other symptoms that seem to relate to Chronic Fatigue, I had several "boils" 4 years ago that were never tested for MRSA, after have continuous ear infections I told my doc to test the inside of my ear for MRSA and sure enough it was positive, my question to you all is can this make me feel this bad for years? I am only 30 and my 65 year old mother in law has more energy than I do, it's everything I can do to get up every day, I have 3 kids so it's not easy. I have had a constant headache for 2 years now, it's pressure in my head that never leaves, your comments and recommendations are appreciated!

The body uses a lot of B vitamins to fight staph. If you are low on them that can cause
fatigue and low energy.

Christy, my huggs to ya! Soft gentle ones because I know it might hurt!
Emergen-C vitamins with an excellent absorption rate because it's in
liquid do it for me! It gives me direct vitamins necessary to conquer
fatigue! It's a staple in my life anymore.

Christy:

You might want to try adding a supplement called No Shot. Get the highest mg you can. It is vitamin B12 and placed under the tongue for fast uptake. It dissolves in seconds. Vitamin B12 is usually given via shot, so this is really a nicer way of using it.

Christy -

A couple of questions that come to mind.

What is your physician’s specialty? Did physician diagnose ear infection via culture? What was treatment? When were ear infections? Have you been seen by an Infectious Disease specialist? Where were lesion outbreaks (not cultured) four years ago? What antibiotics have you been on? What are you using for immune support? Pre-existing compromising health factors (diabetes, etc.)? Meds you currently take routinely?

In my opinion… symptoms as you’ve described collectively, but these particularly *[“I have had a constant headache for 2 years now, it's pressure in my head that never leaves”] are symptoms to be addressed, especially with history of continuous MRSA positive ear infections.

You might consider seeing a Neurologist, after~ ear is cultured by Infectious Disease specialist. The ID will determine best susceptible methods of treatment (antibiotic therapy, topical care) once pathogen is identified (if one is present), goal is to get culprit under control. I’d request the lab culture report, and carry it to Neurologist who will determine from his/her end of specialty if there is any involvement that needs to be addressed according to your neurological symptoms. This is what I would do.

You’re 30. I can identify with being a taxed mom with children - even under healthy circumstances, but it's time to become seriously pro-active, there is far too much life left to live in you, to let whatever it is that is causing your chronic condition to succeed in getting the best of you. I want you to know you’re not alone Christy. We’re here to help you through. You can read the personal struggles many of us have overcome. Put another way… if this were happening to one of your loved ones, you would never give in… right?

In the meantime I’d also *utilize cross contamination precautions, as MRSA is a contagion. Any ear wax, or drainage,… should be considered contagious and handled with due care so as not to spread bacteria around to other sites, or others. You might find some helpful information under ‘Treatments’ on the forum’s associated website.

Be sure to keep fingers out of ears, and be conscious of the little itch that brings a finger to the ear(s) and remind yourself not to do it. You’ll be surprised how often you’ll catch yourself when paying attention to little human errors that can be responsible for cross contaminating us. Impeccable hand hygiene is a must.

To your question [“ …can this make me feel this bad for years?”] Yes, as you become immune compromised (weakened) the door is open for heightened infection risk, as you become healthier - the control shifts. It is an endless push and pull to balance our body systems. This is why it is important to build your body to optimal health by way of supplementing that which we lack from our diets.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,
ladyk
