Bad Day Yesterday

I will be away for a while. While in the midst of a total blizzard here in central Maryland, my husband of 41 years had a heart attack. He had to have emergency surgery at Johns Hopkins yesterday afternoon. He is stable now, but we still have a lot of snow here. I slept in his room at the hospital last night and am totally exhausted.

Hope everyone else braved the weather and did fine.

Dearest Nancy,

Thinking of you and your husband today, and sending wishes that all things are stabilizing.

Please do take the best of care running here and there as situation requires, in attempt not to fall due to volumes of snow and slippery conditions! Please take care to keep up with your immunity issues due to stress of current situation. You're in hospital and as we've discussed so very many times… you and I know the risks/bad bugs floating around. Please take all measures possible to ensure you and your dear husband are as protected as possible.

I'm as concerned about you, as I am your husband.

Please update us when you can.

Warm hugs,
ladyk

You're at North Wolfe facility ICU yes?

Thanks so much for your prayers and good wishes. My husband will be coming home tomorrow, just in time for Christmas. He had to have 3 new stents and a pacemaker, but at least he's out of pain.

I have never been more frightened in my life. You cannot imagine the logistical problems of dealing with a serious heart attack in a damn blizzard.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in case I can't get back for a while.

hugs,
Nancy

Nancy,

Thank God, this is greatest news and such a relief! I was trying to find you two to send flowers thinking he'd be stuck in hospital over holidays - having him back home for everyone to share in the holidays together is the greatest gift ever.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday Nancy.

Best wishes and you two take the best of care!
